Electric vehicles will play a critical role in cleaning up the air we breathe, tackling the climate emergency and transitioning to a zero emission future.
London has made great progress so far, introducing electric buses, taxis and one of the largest rapid charging networks of any major city. But to deliver the Mayor of London’s bold vision for a zero emission future requires continued action. This includes a major expansion of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, which is complex in urban areas.
During this session, chaired by Mark Watts (Executive Director, C40 Cities), speakers will reflect on London’s progress in recent years, but also outline the new challenges and opportunities of electric vehicle uptake as part of a green recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.
